This episode was an interesting one involving a spare DaiFighter and a spaceship. And reused footage from at least 3 different episodes to pad out the fight scenes (obviously saving the budget for something special, or someone in accounting sucks at their job). They did a good job though. Enjoy
Those of you with long memories (or a trip to the archive) may remember that we subbed the first 2 episodes of L-Gaim way back, but the project was dropped due to Shin-Getter suddenly coming back from the dead, and the project generally imploding. Since Shin-Getter dropped the project at episode 32, we’ve picked up from where they left off with a new translator Ametuchi, who did Mozaika.

This episode we get a mix of Indiana Jones-esque ancient temples and Tarzan references. I would say Indiana Jones references, but this was made several years before the Indiana Jones films, so it’s more referencing the same source material.

This was something of an unusual project, I got approached by a mysterious stranger on IRC asking if I could assist with some difficult bits in episode 2 of Brygar (don’t ask why the romanisation’s changed). I only found out near release that it was Crinn from X-nebula (aka Dougram dude). So anyway, here’s a revised version of episode 1, and the never before subbed episode 2.

Even by Daitarn standards this is a weird/funny ep with lots of references to other shows. This is also our translator’s favourite episode. The meganoid squad in this episode are awesome.
