[sage-H-S-/m/subs] Gyrozetter 1-51 batch

December 28, 2015

Well here it is, a batch of the entire series of Gyrozetter.

First 2 episodes were done by sage after they unwisely put up what they were going to sub that season up for an internet poll, episodes 3 to 30 were handled by Hikari Senshi under Makhazol, then after they had issues we took over the project with HS’s font collection and translator’s bible of terms to get it finished with Anonyeko as TL, shiny typesetting done by Ignis, starseeker as editor/secondary typesetting, and various other people like UK Windom, Battle-Anon, Sailor Otaku and Iriliane.

If you’ve been following the show so far, a DDL of episode 51 alone can be found here.
DDLs of the v2s (minor fixes and Kerbeizer is now Cerbeiser again, sorry anonyneko): 31, 32, 44, 45, 49.
Or if you just need patches, they are here

Included with the torrent is a live performance of the OP that Hikari Senshi did, also here’s the soundtrack, was going to put it in the batch but forgot.

[THISFILEHASNOSUBS] Chousoku Henkei Gyrozetter - 50 [B3C0E935].mkv_snapshot_14.13_[2015.12.13_19.02.57]

Getting very close to the end now. There’s robot battles, character drama, last-ditch negotiations, and the truth of the villainous plot is revealed. Enjoy.

Onigiri are rice balls with various fillings.

As the finale draws ever closer, the battle rages on, and comedic villains stop being quite so comedic and start being dangerously competant.

Orochi is the name of a serpent with eight heads and eight tails from Japanese mythology.

Also Goldran is permanently on hiatus as another group is subbing it on Youtube, unless they give up.

We’re definitly into the final stretch now. Also time travel tenses are a pain.

The major problem is simply one of grammar, and the main work to consult in this matter is Dr. Dan Streetmentioner’s Time Traveler’s Handbook of 1001 Tense Formations. It will tell you, for instance, how to describe something that was about to happen to you in the past before you avoided it by time-jumping forward two days in order to avoid it. The event will be descibed differently according to whether you are talking about it from the standpoint of your own natural time, from a time in the further future, or a time in the further past and is futher complicated by the possibility of conducting conversations while you are actually traveling from one time to another with the intention of becoming your own mother or father.

As summer comes to a close and autumn begins, this is definitly the last of the comic interlude episodes before the villains’ plans are put into motion. Summer homework is to be done, intelligence is to be gathered, and delicious foods are to be eaten. If you’re wondering, there’s 51 episodes in total, not 48.

Notes below the cut because it spoils a joke.

Apologies for the delay, a side project may or may not be resurrected depending on how the current ninjas assault pans out. Also I was in Japan for 2 weeks

In this episode, the chosen drivers get roped into making a film. And of course the stock director parody is directing it. What is it with Japan and basing western director parodies off Spielberg anyway?

Notes for this episode because references

Apologies for the delay, I may have spent a bit too much time binging on Metal Gear games instead of doing my pass…That and another project has suddenly decided to revive itself…

Anyways, it’s the thrilling conclusion of the Arcadia Grand Prix in which the Eraser Royals manage to really prove this is a kid’s show with their plan. Also I apologise for the typesetting again, there was a lot of it.

More fun at the Arcadia grand-prix, it’s not even a two-parter, it’s gonna be a three-parter. Enjoy more Eraser shenanigans and proof that Arcadia really suck at doing background checks.

Notes for this ep:
The team Hakata Dontacks are a reference to the Hakata Dontaku festival in Fukuoka. Dontaku being the Japanese rendering for the Dutch zontag literally meaning ‘Sunday’ but borrowed to mean a day off work.

Yakisoba is a type of fried noodles usually with oyster sauce.

Because Anonyneko was so insistent, spelling of Ace’s mech as shifted to Kerbeizer, the earlier occurences of the name will get V2s for the batch.

Apologies yet again for the delays, got sidetracked by side projects. Also couldn’t typeset everything due to space constraints.

Enjoy the race queens in all shapes and sizes as well. And lots of previous episode cameos.

This is the first of a multi-part arc, so stay tuned.

Dosanko is a breed of horse native to Hokkaido, and is often used as a nickname for people from there, like calling a New Zealander a Kiwi.

Celestial Maiden was how we decided to translated 天女 (ten’nyo) which you may have heard in other contexts.

The Penry’s attacks use very royal verb forms and pronouns. We tried to handle it with graceful language and abuse of the Royal We.

Dat ass

Apologies for the delay, stuff came up.
Anyways, it’s the beach episode. Well, tropical island episode really, proving that pith helmets and khaki shirts are shorthand for explorers the world over. Also I suspect this episode was animated by the C team, there’s a lot of off-model stuff. Also terrible, pain to translate Touma puns.
